Back from an impromptu hiatus

That is to say, it's been a while since I've actively blogged. It's been a while since I've done anything I enjoyed...

I've been rather bogged down by freelance, work and home improvements.

On the homefront, I've done quite a bit of unpacking and cleanup. I put up some track lighting in the kitchen and finally took pictures of the whole place! I had my housewarming party this past Saturday and got some nice gifts, mainly bakeware and a kitchen stuff. Nice.

Then there's work. Things should have slowed down, but they really havent. I've been busy through and through, running back and forth from one project to another, from one floor to another. Sometimes I've forced myself to walk out around 6 and relax work on my own place. It's good though, I'm getting a lot done, even if it's been a little stressful lately.

Freelance is a whole 'nother matter. Don't get me wrong, it helped me get some track lighting in my kitchen and take care of the $1000+ I lost from the hospital visits and the brake job my car needed... but it's just so time consuming. I came home from a long day at work to work some more. Do not stop at TV/living room, do not collect $200, do not pass go until freelance is done.

Oh, we had a Halloween Party at the office two weekends ago. I dressed up for the first time ever. I was Cat in the Hat! I also got drunk for the first time, officially, but that's best saved for another day.

Time to start making music! My keyboards are out and my MIDI-to-USB adapter showed up today!
