I've been looking at a few cars lately, well, SUVs/Cross Overs, and the ones that have caught my eye are the Ford Edge, Mitsubishi Outlander, Dodge Caliber and the newly remodeled Scion XB.
Like any responsible geek, I'm doing my fair share of research before I even start test driving them to see if they even qualify.
Here's some choice quotes from bloggers and community members about the cars:
"Sure, it's marginally faster than 'a BMW', but it won't get you laid like 'a BMW'. Sorry, Ford." About the Ford Edge"The jump seats in the 3rd row are a joke. How many people have midgets on hand, especially since the specs say they're the only ones who will be comfortable back there?"
About the Mitsubishi Outlander"Sometimes I wonder how a 'drink cooler' could possibly make a car seem all the more worth it..."
About the Dodge Caliber"That thing has a blind spot the size of God’s love for the world."
About the 2008 Scion XB
Those won't stop me from looking at them of course since most of the quotes are incredibly subjective, though the Scion is a little underpowered without the supercharger that's coming out "soon".
Time will tell, but I'm fairly sold on the Ford Edge before even test driving any of these... the features, packages and appearance are more than what I'd like for my next car, including the panoramic moonroof!

I have been really impressed with Ford's design and quality the last 5 years or so. I would never have recommended them in the mid to late 90's, but they have really turned a corner somewhere between then and now.
I've got a focus from 04, and for what we paid you simply can not get something as nice. Sure there's plenyt nicer out there, but bang for buck I don't think so. The interior finish is still nice, tight, quiet and comfy even after 3 years of heavy use and not so heavy attention to cleaning and maintenance.
