For those of you who know me, I’m not really a fan of books. At least, not the physical books that take up space on some table, shelf or pile in the closet. Still, I can appreciate their beauty when they’re more than a simple cover and spine. Nick over at Think Design goes over some nicely designed book covers, many of which I’ve found inspiring. Check ‘em out!
I’d rather be known for what I do, not what I say. If I become famous, I’d rather it be because of something I’ve accomplished by the work of my hands.
An April Fools prank that I wished was real.
Two weeks ago, I had my first speaking opportunity at SXSW Interactive 2010 in Austin, TX about a role I’ve performed professionally for more than 10 years: being an “Emergency Response Technician” (ERT), in addition to my primary role at any job.
Unrelated to an “Emergency Medical Technician,” an ERT is often responsible for responding to multiple tasks at varying priorities in addition to their own duties in any job. For example, an executive assistant may oversee inventory, shipping, staffing and office maintenance in addition to assisting their superior with scheduling and liaising as required.
In my work at AgencyNet, I often perform a number of key positions including unofficial IT work and front-end/back-end development on internal/client projects. It’s often a stressful and (at times frustrating) job, especially when you’re shifting gears so much, so often, but over the years I’ve figured out a few best practices along the way.

Next week I’ll be discussing this topic (along with a proper presentation) at Refresh Lauderdale for the locals, and will be uploading my presentation to SlideShare after that.
Also, stay tuned on information with my book on this same topic!

I’ve been a bad blogger, so much in fact that when I looked back at my past entries for the last 12 months, I was shocked: 7. I’ve only blogged 7 times in the past 12 months. I guess I shouldn’t call myself a blogger then, but let’s fix it.
I’ve moved over to Tumblr, a blogging platform I hope will allow me to quickly blog about the things I like without being concerned about writing lengthy posts. If I see a picture or video or quote, I’ll post it on here.
So to reboot, I’ve decided I’m only porting one entry from my old WordPress blog to here. Why? Because after reviewing my past articles and how my writing style has changed over the years, it bugged me. It’s not a purge, just a re-alignment with how I write now, and over time, I may adapt some of my older posts
I’m also focusing on writing more in general, and I think I’ve been doing a good job so far with All Things UNCHARTED, a news site I run dedicated to covering anything related to the Uncharted game/movie franchise.
Let’s hope this sticks, because soon I’ll have a lot to say. In the mean time, if you’re not following me on Twitter, why not start now? I’m @chrisfullman. Say hello!
Do you agree with a reboot on a personal blog? Let me know in the comments, Twitter or anywhere you see this post.
